Quilting workshop - Sawtooth Star & Irish Chain Quilt

50.00

In this full day workshop you will make a quilt using two blocks, the Sawtooth Star and the Irish Chain.

The Sawtooth Star block is made of eight points, these being made by making flying geese units.  The Irish Chain block is made using squares and strips. This block is made by a quick method using strips.

This is a rotary cutting and machine piecing workshop and is aimed at a confident beginner and above.  The workshop will be led by Janet, formerly of Needle & Thread in Horsell.

This quilt would look good in Christmas fabric (be early for next Christmas) and would make an ideal baby quilt. More blocks can be easily added to make a larger quilt.

You will need to bring your own equipment (sewing machine & appropriate feet, rotary cutter & mat, fabric and thread) - a full list of requirements will be provided upon booking.  Refreshments (tea, coffee, homemade cake) will be provided throughout the day but you will need to bring your own packed lunch.
