(Half day) This is a brilliant project for beginners to basket making as it's easy to achieve very impressive results and is a great introduction to the art of basket making. There is a lot of scope for being creative so it's a satisfying make for those with some experience too. The tray itself is a Catalan Tension Tray and can be made in different sizes and finished in various different ways - with handles or without. They can be used as shallow baskets to serve fruit or bread and look great hanging on the kitchen wall when not in use. They would also appeal to flower arrangers as a great way to display floral arrangements.
